Seven years after the City of Houston prohibited bringing fill into 100-year floodplains, some people still haven't gotten the message. Like these FM2100 contractors caught this morning dumping dirt in the Lake Houston floodplain and floodway.

People get paid well to allow contractors to dump on their property and yes City (whoever okayed it needs to be reprimanded) should know better and fines should be hefty.
JCisL reacted You are a very special person. You've been spending so very much of your time and talents taking photos, and writing summaries and information involving this whole "faux pas" in what used to be such a special, high priced development since so many years back. You deserve lots of gratitude and recognition for the part you have been so actively playing. I've moved out of the Kingwood area after 11 years, and I still watch and read what's happening in that area, and it's just a shame. Thank you for all you do.
