Low sodium causes falls and found out yesterday pneumonia. She is feeling better. No discharge date yet.

KanKan : UGH! Pneumonia is hard to get over. She needs to be doing deep breathing exercises and if possible walking the halls with help. She needs to move a little bit if possible. I hope they have increased her salt intake and she is not feeling unstable. Prayers going up for all of you.

KanKan: How is Mum doing today....

Oh my, low sodium is critical as it creates a number of issues. Praying for your Mom and you.Are you comfortable with the care she is receiving at HCA? We have had good care there however we have heard of some not so good experiences.

We did go through this with the sodium probably about 10 years ago. She is walking around with her walker and the brain fog is gone. There are some other issues that we'll hopefully find the answers to tomorrow. Kittle : We have also had good and bad experiences with both KW and MH. Overall, we are satisfied. Everyone is really nice and explains things. However, she is in an old bed and a new one was supposed to be ordered Monday but as of when I was there today, she's still in the old one.
The only other issue I've had, and I addressed with the doctor over the phone as I was driving around looking for a parking place which is a whole different issue, was them not giving her medicines from her list that I had submitted several times to personnel. I'll find out in the morning whether they got it straightened out or not. The doctor did not sound happy but that's something they definitely need to figure out!

I know she would be more comfortable, if not in the hospital, but I am glad she is getting the care she needs, to feel better. Hugs to your Mom, and please keep us posted.

I am happy to hear that her care has been, for the most part, good. Hospital stays usually have a few glitches, even at the Med Center. Praying the meds get properly dispensed and that your Mom improves quickly.

She got her new bed and home meds started last night. Yeah!! They're currently doing a CT scan. I saw the dr walking in as I did so I'm here in time for his rounds. I have her walker and things should she be discharged today. Also picking up kids from IAH from their vacation this week. My day in a nutshell. Hope everyone has a great day!❤️
