San Jac River Authority not lowering Lake Conroe.
I wonder why no water release from
Lake Conroe with a major hurricane with up to 15 inches of rain? The City of Houston already lowered Lake Houston by 12 inches in anticipation of Hurricane Beryl. " Lake Houston water levels to be lowered by 12 inches ahead of Beryl's landfall"

Maybe because Lake Conroe is already below normal level? At any rate, it's good Lake Houston has been lowered, so that water coming downstream will have somewhere to go.

Because the rainfall estimates for the area are inaccurate.
I don't. Just a theory. Seems like they always over predict. I don't trust these weather reports. I will note that NOAA's predictions keep coming down. The 4p update shows 4-6

I feel so much better about a lot of rain coming when they start releasing before the storm starts. Slow & steady is so much better than the Harvey dump.
@Kaa054 :
Yes. The San Jacinto River Authority says they are a foot below the level where they release water. We will see if that's enough after Storm Beryl hits. Fingers crossed.
