Robotics Boost in Humble ISD ClassroomsTwo Humble ISD classrooms just got a big upgrade thanks to a $25,000 grant from Comcast. The funding is helping teachers bring robotics and engineering to life for their students in exciting new ways.At Kingwood Middle School, Matthew Zamarron’s class is using VEX IQ robotics kits to build, code, and collaborate. Students are learning teamwork, problem-solving, and hands-on STEM skills while designing and testing their own robots.Meanwhile, at Kingwood High School, Colin Zabel’s students are taking their ideas from the classroom to competition. Using XRP robotics kits, a CNC router, and real-world design tools, they’re preparing for FIRST Robotics and exploring careers in advanced technology and manufacturing.These programs are more than just robotics—they’re helping students gain confidence, apply math and science in meaningful ways, and imagine new possibilities for the future.A huge thank you to the Humble ISD Education Foundation and Comcast for investing in our students and helping open doors to opportunity.
