Jonn : We've been eating out every day this week due to my mom being in town and us wanting to take her to our favorite dining spots. So far, every restaurant has been amazing. 1. Asian City -- our FAVORITE Asian restaurant!!! So, so good. Their house fried rice (as an entree) is the best I've ever had. We got a huge pile of tempura veggies -- everything was excellent. 2. Torchy's -- still our favorite for eating out. They have the best chips in town and we love their red salsa and guacamole. My mom wasn't crazy about her taco but there's a lot on the menu to please even her. 3. Pit Row Pit Stop BBQ in New Caney -- the name of this restaurant has zero meaning to me, but the food is out of this world. Great CFS, although my white gravy is better. My hubby got their shrimp po-boy and said it's the best one he's ever had here in Texas. LOTS of enormous fried shrimp. 4. LaMadeleine -- not my favorite but a pleasant meal, probably worth the money. I think there was one more restaurant but can't remember which. Overall, everything has been delish but I can't wait to get back on Keto!!!

I would agree about the lack of service and less than stellar experiences. I've stuck with a few standbys that haven't let me down for dine-in. J. Christopher's, Skeeters, Hofbraus and RC's pizza. We've skipped all other fancier and more expensive spots because it simply wasn't enjoyable anymore. Taste of Greek and True TX BBQ have been consistently great for takeout. Tomorrow we are going to Tin Roof BBQ for a birthday so curious to see what it is like. Haven't been in about a year. 4951

4. LaMadeleine -- not my favorite but a pleasant meal, probably worth the money.

HollyHobby : Agree La Madeleine has been good. We haven't been very often but the deserts are delish and the food is yummy. 4951

I won't do those stupid menus, I ask, and get, a real menu. Aside from that, I'm mostly happy! I know the waitstaff can be slow, the restaurants are just getting back to full service, but I really have no complaints. 4951

beadweaver : I was hoping someone would post something like this one day. We have noticed the same thing when eating out service has gotten bad, servings smaller, prices higher has gotten to the point I do not enjoy eating out anymore. Many of the comments written here I agree with. 4951

My biggest complaint is the limited menus some places are still using. ChaChis has the full and yet Gringos is still on a partial. 4951

This last year has been tough on people, much tougher on some, so I cut eveyone some slack.
Service has been subpar overall, but I can tell that it is due to underexperienced staff.
I cannot think of last time I sat down in a Kingwood restaurant with a waiter... 4951

Restaurants Lately all the service and food has been subpar. I don't think it's me and my weird eating habits. I have an expectation when I go out to eat. Menus on that stupid Q code that doesn't work have the time diminishes the experience from the start. Having to ask for everything like salt and pepper but waiting forever and eating cold food or just eating it without salt and pepper. Prices are going off the charts. No way breakfast for two of eggs and an omelet should be forty bucks. Is it just me or do others see it too?

beadweaver : I have notices that prices have skyrocketed and that service has gone down. You would think the servers would be happy to have a job and giving great service to get a great tip. I do not tip 20% for bad service. The tip goes way down! 4951

I have only ate at restaurants a few times since covid and having a toddler. The service was decent. Where I have had issues is with takeout. Food is always forgotten and the estimated time is always way wrong. 4951
