Have restaurants started taking orders for Thanksgiving to-go meals? I looked at Tin Roof and Cracker Barrel but didn't see anything. I did just find CB's. What restaurant do you suggest for everything but the turkey? Not cooking this year.

BB's Tex Orleans and Black Bear Diner will be doing dinners to go, too. Watch their websites closer to the end of October for ordering information

Cracker Barrel has a link to order on their web page..cheapest is $125 plus tax. Sam's Club is doing meals for 12 and it is the best deal at $100. Kroger Deli does them, HEB deli. Luby's is advertising they are doing them. HEB is also planning to do Meal Simple -which is good if you don't want leftovers.

The timing on it is exact so just read the directions. my son and his fiancé did the whole dinner last year for the first time; they bought the sides at Costco : macaroni and cheese, cornbread dressing and mashed potatoes and gravy. Sweet potatoes were a frozen one made by Pict Sweet, and we added marshmallows. Are vegetable of choice has always been the Leseur mini peas, which was easy. Rolls for our holiday dinners are always the sister Schubert Parker House rolls( 2 pans!) in the round pan, (Not the ones found in the bag they are not very good!). Marie Callender's Southern pecan pie that you thaw and a pumpkin pie from Kroger. Great meal, and so easy

Ooh Tin Roof sounds good to add brisket with the turkey.
I would just call the places that interest you…. They can give you info now.
has anyone here ever gotten their meal from La Madeline? Looking for real opinions; I'd imagine their desserts are good.

I usually do the turkey, but I have been known to order two pans of lubys dressing because it is close to my recipe. I make my own gravy cuz I'm not big on that giblet gravy stuff. Their pans freeze well if someone else makes dressing. Lubys has good rolls too but we have defaulted to using sister shubert frozen rolls.
I would check out the Honey Baked Ham Co in Humble. They have 17+ Holiday Meal Packages… at least 9 Side options (the baked cinnamon apples & cheesy potatoes Au Gratin + others give other good options to the usual)
I would definitely prefer to spend $130-$200 with the Honey Baked Ham Co over places like Luby's!
*Pic shows just a few options (can view the rest online)

I always get a ham from there. I have never tried their sides.

I've tried about 4 of their "sides" & been happy. 👍

Good to know. Daughter talked me into going on a cruise over Xmas. Ordering dinner would be so much cheaper 😂

Sorry y'all, I just couldn't resist but talking about Thanksgiving made me think of this!

Thanks, everyone! There are some places listed I wouldn't have thought of. We will do the Greenberg turkey as we usually do. There will be 12 of us this year. The first time someone mentioned Sis Schubert's rolls I thought they were talking about someone at church. lol. In the past, we have gone through four pans. DS and nephew would eat a pan a piece and the rest of us would share the other two. lol. Good memories. 🥰
