Restaurant recommendations on The San Antonio Riverwalk please.

bluewave : Boudros is by far my favorite also!!!! Never go to SA without one night having dinner there. It is more upscale than most of the other restaurants but so worth it! 4951

Not a fan of Mi Tierra - BUT there's a restaurant across from it on the plaza ( and owned by the same family)that has better food.Ostras and Iron Cactus are right next to each other- Iron Cactus can be hit or missThen there's TheFig Tree- need reservations and a full wallet-but excellant dining 4951

If you can't make it to Market Square, then I say Casa Rio is the best on the river walk. 4951

Quixote : I agree the reason I stated don't eat TexMex food on the Riverwalk. Took my family they wanted to eat Tex-Mex food on the Riverwalk, food was horrible and way overpriced along with the terrible overpriced margaritas. Also they seem to rush you because so many people waiting for a table they want to turn the table over to another customer, never again. 4951

cupid517 : Casa Rio is the restaurant on the river near the Hilton Palacio del Rio. It was the first business to open on the river (band in the forties) and even then, the guy that founded it wasn't Hispanic. The food has always been a gringo's sad take on Mexican cuisine. The only reason it stays in business is because they've brokered arrangements with the dudes that operate the tourist boats to serve food and drinks onboard. Last time we were there, all of the Riverwalk restaurants were chain operations. 4951
