frebu : Kingsriver actually is part of Kingwood, HOA trails and all. That "across the river " mentality is from the old Kingwood Elite Guard mentality. In days of yore, Kingwood did stop at the Lake/ Rivers edge…… until they added the bridge. That's when Kingwood oozed across the water.

I never really understood the snobbish attitude denying that Kingwood expanded and the crusty crowd won't recognize it.

Just drove from 1960 up WLHP. This KINGWOOD sign is in the median, across from Primrose, before the Kings Park Way @ WLHP intersection. All of this is before you reach the Di Maria, Charlie's Watch Bar, Los Jaritos shopping strip. The sign has been there for years and appears to be the Atascocita/Kingwood line. If it's not Kingwood, then why would the sign be there?
