Ren Fest Begins This Weekend!

This is definitely the year to go before the forced buyout goes through and they start cutting corners that really ought not be cut. Safety is already pretty low and that is likely the first thing that will go down.

It's the perfect weekend for going to the Ren Fest, the weather is going to be beautiful. I didn't purchase tickets in advance for it, because I didn't like that you now have to schedule the date/weekend you are planning to attend. I would like to go once this season, it's a fall tradition for our family, but we'll see.

@CatalinaKitKat: I agree couldn't be more perfect weather this weekend and because we haven't had any rain. It will be dry out there, no mud. my younger son's first home was only about 20 minutes away, so we used to go out and spend the weekend with him and go to the venue. Always fun!

I was thinking about going tomorrow but then I saw that there is an Art Festival tomorrow.

luannski : Indeed there are, because the mayor owned the festival for years, but he lost his election, lost the festival and committed suicide so that may not be the case going forward when whatever sweetheart deal he wrote himself expires. But I was talking more about general health and safety. Sanitation, maintaining the grounds, pest control and food standards. This new company is an unknown but generally you dont fight this hard to take over something unless you have a plan to turn it into a money printing machine.

I know; I have friends who go Every weekend; they are part of the regular crowd that have been costuming out there, for over 10 years. They leave their camper, and just stay there, Fri-Sun, both are retired. She likes it better, once the days get cooler, too! I love thee apple dumpling desserts they have out there, and she used to bring one home for me!
