JFK, LAX, Chicago

@ForestFinds : So, you're saying JFK, LAX, Chicago are not international airports?

Your comment "It's an international airport" in response to the question, "what makes IAH so special" makes no sense because JFK, LAX, Chicago are also international airports, but they are not experiencing the delays that IAH is. The mere fact that an airport is an international airport is not the determining factor for the delays as your reply implies because those others would be too.

Waits at IAH are ' down' to 3 hours. May sound crazy, but it's a big improvement from yesterday! Pre and Clear still closed Emoticon and by the way, senators are expected to take a two week vacation recess, soon. Insane..

PickMe : Isn't the airport run by the city?

@Boonie : You are right. The city runs the airport.

@Boonie : I don't think that Bush is always a cluster eff. At least not when I have used it. I'm sure it is right now, with so many TSA employees not showing up.

The city also owns / manages Hobby, and it is not having the same issues as IAH as far as security wait times.

@buffaloglenn :
Youre right, it's not. Usually plenty of ways to expedite, with Clear and Pre, and the checkpoints all open, it runs well. Early departures of mine have been maybe 6 minutes to process. Emoticon

@LoveNC :
Well Texas is special. But do the math based on the number of travelers. You might be surprised.
