Your comment "It's an international airport" in response to the question, "what makes IAH so special" makes no sense because JFK, LAX, Chicago are also international airports, but they are not experiencing the delays that IAH is. The mere fact that an airport is an international airport is not the determining factor for the delays as your reply implies because those others would be too.

Youre right, it's not. Usually plenty of ways to expedite, with Clear and Pre, and the checkpoints all open, it runs well. Early departures of mine have been maybe 6 minutes to process.
