#msg6028614Really, Man?!! Ten K Cash, Plus...? The guy shown is on the news right now. He was at Lifetime Fitness, in Sugarland and had $10,000 cash, an expensive Rolex watch, and his entire wallet ,stolen out of one of the locker that you just make up the code for it that day, not one that you bring your own lock. hope he has good insurance, because the signs at the gyms clearly say "not responsible for lost or stolen items", and that is binding. Bless his heart, but I think he is out of luck. My sister was an insurance agent for 14 years , and she says that's gonna be a hard one to prove, unless he is seen on a security cam, putting those items into the locker, which was not mentioned, at all. Why would you bring all those valuables to the gym, and put them behind a thin little composite door, you can easily pry open with a butter knife?! Certainly, if you had that much value with you, you would stop by home, or a family member's home, and drop it off for safekeeping, and then go to the gym? My sister said one guy called to ask how much his wife's Rolex would be worth, if they lost it ? Two weeks later he called in to say his wife's Rolex had been lost… suuuure…

LittleTexas : Who on earth takes $10k with them to the gym? That is crazy! If it is true I hope he gets his money back.

TEXASGIRLMAMMA :
he won't...you know those signs, Everywhere, in Every Gym, that say "not responsible for lost or stolen items"?.....it is his burden of proof, and if he did not place it in the locker, and then take a photo that shows exact detail of what was lost, with a time stamp on his cell camera, and showing the surroundings of the locker, his goose is cooked. Even if he had that, he has no case against the gym, but Might be able to claim it on his insurance. But, I hope he has an insurance rider on a watch that expensive, and dead set proof of that cash, somehow. If he Had that, I doubt he would be blaming the gym, as he is, and taking No responsibility for the loss. Bless his heart, but this was a bad idea , and he looks old enough to know better?
