Roxy24 : I thought it had been longer than 8 years ago. The whole "OWED" joke happened when something went wrong or the fireworks didn't happen as they had always happened. Someone was big mad and posted here that the people were "OWED" after expecting it and planned for it. I took the mature road and have kept it going. 😂 The people are owed…OWED I TELL YA!!!

We didn't stay for the fireworks but went to the park earlier in the day to the festival and had a great time. Krystal does a wonderful job getting a variety of vendors and food at her festivals. We are going to In a Pickle this year too, always a lot of fun.

KTXcommenter : See my other comment made a few minutes ago in another reply. My estimation is there is not enough money in Kingwood budget to put on a real City fireworks display or the company hired misled the organizers about what they would provide. Professional fireworks shoot up into the sky 600-1000' well above any trees. Hell, I've seen real fireworks going off 5 miles away with trees all around. In disgust, my wife went to the Dairy Queen on Northpark and saw a better amateur display across the street in the vacant lot.
