sweetie : Also, I do this and have told my kids when pulling in neighborhood and feel like you are being follow just drive around til you know that that is not the case. Just be cautious and do not let them know where you live.

Smoothwaters : tell them to drive To a local police station. Do not get out of the car, but call 9-1-1, and explain that you are In the parking lot of xyz station, and that you are being followed.

Why would anyone leave a bunch of cash in a car in a public parking lot? I don't get it; I would never. Also, why would thieves assume someone who got cash at an ATM would next leave it in the car while they park it, then break into it in a well-lit, public place that is bound to have cameras? Why the heck did they break two windows?? So much (*nonsense*) my head hurts.

Smoothwaters : I tell my three DD's do not come straight home, especially if you feel like someone's following you. I tell them go sit at the police station and go inside and have them walk you back safely to your car. Always be careful of your surroundings
That happens so much more than you know. That is Why they lurk at the bank, sitting in cars, and following people. They Literally watch people put the money away, then follow them. My know it all ex did this once, and was mad at the Bank about it. Go get $100 bill as gift. Pull down mirror/shade, and put envelope with money in it, up there. Drive about 1/4 mile to a drug store for a birthday card. Return to car 5 minutes later, to broken driver's side window. I explained that that is a "Donation", not a "Robbery". I have to imagine that people are distracted ( on cell, etc?), and just do not 'think' about the Many reports of jugging, everywhere, and often. It happens to good people all the time.
LittleTexas : If it happens that frequently, it seems like it would be easy for law enforcement and banks to cooperate on catching people in the act.
