NeverPayRetail : So, can anyone get this? What are the limitations? So, whoever inherits your home will have to pay the taxes if they want to keep the home?
As I understand it the taxes continue to add up (possibly with interest and penalties) but do not have to paid until death of owner
FRUGAL : as I understand it, no penalties. Past taxes plus interest, low percentage compared to most interest instruments, are paid by whomever gets the house, or you pay if you sell the house.
SteveT : We also have till the 21st. I really started digging into it last night and when I went to file I saw I have till later. So, I am taking this opportunity to improve my case.
TEXASGIRLMAMMA : Yes, the first explanation should be a summary and then you get an unofficial date with an Appraiser and I have explained my case in there a few times and taken the offer from them before it goes to the actual ARB board. You also don't have to get all your docs/pics in but do get them in 5-7 days before your date so they are in your file for the appraiser meeting!
