Pretty sure I have heard mosquito truck spraying late at night in back of Kingwood? Am I "hearing things" or has mosquito spraying started?

I have also heard it - Harris county had its first WNV human case for 2025 in Baytown. WNV prevention is so important - but I hate how sprayingimpacts other beneficial insects such as fireflies.

Would like to know what's in the spray? Anyone know or where can I find out.
Texas mosquitoes are So large, they are probably driving the truck! They will spray at night, when fewer people and pets are outdoors.

Oh great! According to the EPA, this is pretty nasty stuff.
Toxicology
Organophosphates poison insects and other animals, including birds, amphibians and
mammals, primarily by phosphorylation of the acetylcholinesterase enzyme (AChE)
at nerve endings. The result is a loss of available AChE so that the effector organ
becomes overstimulated by the excess acetylcholine (ACh, the impulse-transmitting
substance) in the nerve ending. The enzyme is critical to normal control of nerve
impulse transmission from nerve fibers to smooth and skeletal muscle cells, secretory
cells and autonomic ganglia, and within the central nervous system (CNS). Once a
critical proportion of the tissue enzyme mass is inactivated by phosphorylation, symptoms and signs of cholinergic poisoning become manifest. This is from EPA but as a new member, I'm not allowed to post links.
