Portillos in Humble looks close to opening!

UptownGirl : Right !! We need another one about as much as we need another nail salon, urgent care or chicken place. Please....something different.

Daizee : Yes! We went by there today and looked their menu up online. We are definitely going to try it! Chicago style hot dogs and all kinds of other stuff. Looks pretty good.

Had them while out in Chicago for Christmas. Their Chicago Dogs and Italian Beef sandwiches are Legit! Glad to see them opening soon!

We saw their facility last week but online only says coming soon. Friends from Chicago rave about Portillos however there isn't much new: hot dogs, sandwiches, salads. Perhaps a different style of the same items.

Chicago style hot dogs and sandwiches. I am not a fan, but did have a good milkshake at one in Chicago, once.

It's looked at in Chicago like Whataburger is here - it's a local legend up there. The beef sandwiches are very good. The rest is just typical burgers and dogs stuff.

Portillos opened near Dallas a couple of years ago, and you can never get near the place. Chicago transplants will be in line for sure. Great Italian beef and hot dogs.

What is the hot oil dipping sauce used for?

To dip your sandwich in or put directly on the beef. It gives it an extra kick.
