Lets see, being a pilot we use checklists so that we don't miss anything. How about this checkist: 1- Don't carry a concealed weapon when you are not legal to do so. 2- If the police pull you over and ask if you have a weapon on you, tell the truth. 3- If you lie and the police find the weapon you lied about, don't run. Bad **** happens. 4- If you're dumb enough to run, don't reach for the area of your body where the police found the weapon. Because then REALLY bad **** happens. 5- When you do all the above and you absolutely DO get shot, don't blame the police, a bad upbringing, racism, mental illness, addiction, and an assortment of other vacant nonsense excuses. sweetie : I'm always amused when I see stories or video clips of people being told by police to get out of their car, and these brain sturgeons say "NO". Think about this for a moment. What do they think is going to happen from that point forward? There are only two choices here, and its a really easy test, sort of like an open book multiple guess test.
A) The situation will escalate, and it will probably escalate rapidly. It wasn't a request. One way or another, you ARE coming out of the car.
B) The officer says "OK, never mind. Have a nice day."

I don't get it when they say no I don't want to come out of the car because the cops tell them you're coming out one way or the other you can come out the easy way or the hard way makes no difference to me. And then you have the sovereign citizens. I don't know why they do what they do because it never works out for them. No cop is going to say OK you can go on. You don't have a license plate or you don't have a drivers license but that's ok . I just don't get people how stupid are they

1836 : Yes, at that moment he wanted to get away from the cop. If the cop had not intercepted him, what would he have done with the gun? He may have had motive to use it somewhere else. Only a thug would have a gun and run from the police. Concealed carry is legal in Texas and the right thing to do is be upfront and tell the cop you are carrying.
