ZMAN : What is that comment even based on? If Ebikes were cheaper and more practical, municipalities would've switched a long time ago. Maybe one day when ebikes can go 50-70 mile trips, forage for battery life, take on off road terrain/water, and provide a similar height/line of sight advantage for crowd control. Until then, that's just a silly low-information perspective.
WhatsUp : You could prove conclusively that horse contact causes cancer and the police unions would fight tooth and nail to stop them being replaced. We live in an urban area, not the border where there are dozens of miles of empty plains where horses have no equal. They are just expensive vanity departments for a city of houstons size and density.
Ebikes would be cheaper and more practical. Plus they dont leave mounds of **** all over the place.
ZMAN : Yes - as a taxpayer, I can't see how horses make any sense. They are ridiculously expensive. E-bikes or dirt bikes would be much cheaper.
