Great job Bike mom!! all everyone does is point fingers and judge people. Well before you start doing that you should take a look at yourself and your own lives. shame on you. You are just jealous that she thought of it first and now you are hating on her. She is taking care of her family the best way she can. She is simply trying to get her boys to school on time and I commend her for that. And one son is Autistic. I can relate because I have a son who is Autistic and has always had to go to different schools with the best programs to help him. if taking them on bike to get them there on time on what she needs to do then leave her alone!!! What she does is none of your business and SHAME ON YOU if you are taking a picture while driving and or are in the school zone. you should get a ticket for that.Â Stay out of this woman's business and everyone else's business and take care of yourself and your family.Â

You so missed the point. It is great she bikes her kids to school, I even gave her credit for the. It is the things she has been doing biking her kids to school that caused the post to begin with. Maybe you would like to be out walking on the Greenbelt with your dog and this person hauling *** on a bike with a trailer (that that up the width of the trail) comes around a corner behind you, you do not hear them until they are almost on top of you. Then you have to scramble into the grass dragging the dog so you don't get hit...

Ha Ha Ha Ha,I'm reading the comments on FB under the KHOU article. I'm laughing because of the irony, people complaining on line about people complaining online.Oh, my only comment on the actual story is that it does leave out that a bunch of the posts were about the kid wearing a helmet, and Bike Mom's (I hope she trademarks Bike Mom) response was that she will not put helmets on them, then shows her putting a helmet on the kid.Either way, not my job to tell anyone to put a helmet on their kid, she is the parent and it's her right to **** the risk and decide if if the kid needs a helmet or not. Surprised more parents here don't bike more with their kids, seems like one of the benefits to living in Kingwood. People speeding through school zones are a much bigger hazard than a mother on a bike. 4951

Hats off to this lady for doing what's needed to get her children to school on time.Â I have followed bicyclist in similar situations to block them from other cars, making sure they get to the next intersection and not get ran over.Â Sometimes the greenbelts don't take you all the way to your destination.Â We all need to slow down and watch out for one another. 4951

I kind of thought that too... my best friends son is autistic to a greater degree than this ladies son and she would never think of going to the news with something like this is she were in the same shoes.

I do wonder what the real purpose of going to the news was especially since the real reason the thread was started was omitted from the news interview.?

I read this thread and the multiple threads on FB.

This whole story smacks of entitlement and public shaming. People love to complain and love to have a target of said complaints. Then other people pile on and off you go!

The bottom line: who cares if she rides a bike to the school? If this woman's actions actually bother you, maybe talk to her directly. Now you know her name, you have no excuse to hide online and complain. 4951
