I’ve seen you dart out in traffic - barely looking.I’m not car line at B.B. - I drive thru there during Car line to pick up my kids from another school. It is NOT fun (and I could start another thread about that!) There is so much going on by B.B. at drop-off/pick-up. So many parents parking along the road and crossing Tree Lane, with kids in tow, NOT in the crosswalk. Cars turning every which way. I drive under 20mph and I’m still in heightened alert -especially when opposing traffic is NOT paying attention.Please stop with the attitude and listen to what drivers of, significantly larger and heavier, vehicles than you are saying. I don’t care if you ride your bike .5 miles or 50 miles. Simmer down and realize that your reckless ways are adding to the deterioration of nerves of many caring parents! 4951

CC1974: Child is in fully enclosed trailer with seat belt on.  Helmet will not protect him if we are hit by a car.  Bike helmets are intended for falling off a bike and hitting pavement, neither of which are possible in this setup.  If a car hits us, no bike helmet in the world is going to make any difference. 4951

I am so amazed that a woman riding a bike to take her kids to school in a neighborhood with controlled speeds during school hours can cause this much angst. BTW, I know this woman and she is one of the most attentive and responsible parents bar none.If I still had elementary school-aged kids, I may have tried what she is doing. I am pretty sure the kids appreciate the bonding time and experience. And other kids watching just may appreciate if their parents who are able would do so as well.And on the positive, she is teaching her kids that one can get around with more than a gasoline/diesel powered metal box.Keep up the good job biking mom.A 21-year Kingwood resident who continues to get shocked from some of my neighbor's continually. 4951

I grew up here and in 1990 when I moved here I was junior cyclist. How do people train for a sport where they have to ride 30-40 miles a day to train? They ride on dangerous roads, but they need cooperation from all drivers to make it work. I can't tell you the numerous times people were driving 50 mph and just flew by me by a couple of feet. I grew up in Greentree, and used to go out Mills Branch Road, then it turned to Ford Rd., out to 494 and up to Community Dr. in Porter and then back. Never went on Kingwood Dr. or any of the roads that weren't really bicycle friendly. SHARE THE ROAD and slow down. If her *** wants to drive down the middle of the rt. lane of gawd damn Tree Ln. then she can. You peeps and your cars didn't discover roads/streets, just like Christopher Columbus didn't discover America. Just because you're bigger and badder doesn't mean it's right. 4951
