Does this woman and her child really need to be choking up the going to work traffic...just plain stupid to risk yourself and your child...go exercise somewhere else. Â Only LICENSED vehicles should be in the roadway.
doddlebug:Â If I heard right anything considered a vehicle that goes under 20 mph is not required to be licensed. According to your line of thinking, kids playing in a cul de sac would need to be licensed.
Pretty sure she is or was taking one of her children to school. They ride their bike along with her and then she goes home. See her almost every morning when i walk the dog. It's not like she was on a main road and there was tons of traffic. Not everyone can live right next to a Greenbelt and use it to get where they want to go to and from.  Just plain stupid for drivers not to be aware of bicycles on the roadway in a neighborhood

But don't pretend there are not any greenbelts around Tree Lane, and easy alternatives to biking directly on Tree Lane, which is quite a busy street.
buffaloglenn: I live in the area and walk these Greenbelts nearly every day and there are plenty of places one cannot get where they want to go without being on the street. For starters, It is at a minimum of a 3 to 4 block walk or bike ride to get to a Greenbelt from my house. Tree Lane may be busy but people drive way too fast on that street as well as Sandy Forks and need to slow down an pay attention to surroundings...

Maybe she was at the part of the ride where she needed to exit the greenbelt to get where she was going. You can't alway take a greenbelt the entire way to your destination.
monyhoney: Could be. I do know that there are greenbelts that lead directly onto Bear Branch elementary, although I certainly do not know if that was where she was going. There are also greenbelts that go straight onto the Montessori school. For either of those, you don't need to bike down Tree.Â
 Does anyone know IF/WHERE you can get a map of the greenbelts? And where they go in relation to the streets? I used to rollerblade down them.. and would come out in the oddest places and temporarily get lost. Maps would be very helpful..
