That nut sack will do nothing for the children if their head lands on the pavement. Set a good example for your children and wear a helmet and please put helmets on your children.

Â Does anyone know IF/WHERE you can get a map of the greenbelts?Â And where they go in relation to the streets?Â I used to rollerblade down them.. and would come out in the oddest places and temporarily get lost.Â Maps would be very helpful..

Try the OSMAnd app on Android or iOS.Â It'll want to download the world basemap and ask you to select a state.Â Â Pick Texas, obviously, and be on Wifi; they're both huge, but generally include bike trails and major walking trails in pretty good detail.Â If you set it to cycling directions, it'll even route you on them when practical.There's also a paid version, but the free one is plenty if you just want one state. 4951

It really doesn't matter what the law is; the bike rider in an accident with a car loses the battle, 100% of the time, every time.Â

NightSG: Not sure where she was crossing Andreweggplant's path but I do know that greenbelt crosswalks aren't magic. If someone comes flying out of the woods expecting the crosswalk to save them from oncoming traffic that could be disastrous.Â If I remember correctly, the greenbelts have painted stop lines where they meet the street.Â I was taught to always stop and look both ways before crossing the road. I also don't cross in front of a vehicle unless I make eye contact with the driver and am sure that I won't get run over. 4951
