If Tree Lane is anything like Mills Branch Road then it is dangerous  riding your bike towing a child.  I find driving Mills Branch so narrow, you have to be careful driving in your car. I is extremely busy and it would really detain traffic!  I would rather be on a sidewalk or the greenbelt.

This may seem nasty to some but my feelings are that anyone wanting to be on public roads needs to be registered and pay for a license plate, bikes included. Bicyclists feel that they have a God given right to use the motorways even though they do not share in the burden of building and maintaining them. It still would be an inconvenience to others but you could stomach it a lot better. Not only that, it would help eliminate stolen bikes.

jenack: I agree with everything you said. This is by far one of the dumbest threads I’ve ever seen on here. I’m sorry you were subjected to this nonsense. Please stick around, we need more level headed peeps like you on here.

jschiner: But I do share in that burden- I own 3 cars- every cyclist I know in Kingwood owns at least 2 cars. So I pay taxes and registration on those 3 cars just as you do on your cars so let’s just dispense with that argument now. As far as the bike areguement- the weight of a bike and rider doesn’t have any wear and tear on the road. As far as a license - I would not be opposed to having to take a license test. I also believe that every driver getting a license should go through a pedestrian/ cyclist course because it’s very apparent to me that most drivers do not know the laws applying to cyclists and pedestrians.
