As a weightlifter, I'm not a fan of planet fitness, but most of that stuff isn't true anymore if it ever was. I've never been a PF member, but I've been as a guest many times. They got rid of the pizza mondays and bagel tuesdays with the pandemic. And they just raised the base price to $15/month, although the $10/month advertised price was always misleading cause if you pro-rate the annual fee it was already ~ $15/month. So now I guess you'd be paying $20/mo with the annual fee factored in. But the lack of heavy free weights is true though. If you're looking for a gym at the same price point, I'm a fan of the Crunch chain although I've never been to the Atascacita location: www.crunch.com/locat ions/atascocita
Yeah, I highly advise against it if you like to lift weights. There are simply very few. In addition, during the short time I was a member there, the equipment was always breaking down. Not to mention all their political shenanigans allowing men in the locker rooms. It's a pass. You get what you pay for.
I wonder if this Planet Fitness will be open 24 hours? If yes, then there may be alot of KDC complaints. Many RVers, truck drivers, car campers, even homeless will buy a membership so that they can take their showers. There will also be some stealth campers in the parking lot. Or maybe tent cities nearby. For just $20 or so per month, you can buy a membership which allows you to use ALL their locations. I'm surprised not more KDCers aren't already complaining. Let those pet peeves begin!!!!!
Here something interesting. The main company that owns Club Studio, also owns LA Fitness, ESporta and ....PLANET FITNESS. Wonder if we will get a LA Fitness to fill the medium price point?
NeverPayRetail : No there isn't. There is Club Studio which is the upper tier of the company that owns LA Fitness.
Sam Sulek
Heathur : Don't really know him, but more power to him. My point is that when you're paying for a gym membership, you're paying for access to equipment. And most people who are serious about weightlifting are interested in using certain equipment that PF doesn't have. Truthfully speaking, most people could meet their fitness goals without any equipment at all by simply eating less. But that depends on someone's individual goals. Also, claiming that someone gets fit purely off one thing reminds me of the parody workout plan from Nathan for You: www.youtube.com/watc h?v=LkNxvUrWQ_Q
No change to exercise or diet. It's not that hard. People just don't wanna be told that they can't eat 8 piece of pizza at midnight.
Never heard of Sam Sulek but I know Jay Cutler and Ronnie Coleman don't work out there. To each thier own
Heathur : Never heard of Sam whatever but I know Jay Cutler and Ronnie Coleman don't work out there. To each thier own
