@Labslady: current wait time for TSA in Austin is only 40 minutes so it would actually be better to fly to Austin, rent a car and drive to Houston. That would give you a chance to take some good bluebonnet photos and grab some good kolaches, on the way here! at the end of your trip drive back to Austin drop your car off and get through security quickly. Worth the price of gas, to me!Loading Image...

I do miss the bluebonnets!! We do have lupine here in the higher ranges but they are much smaller.
Thankfully hubs will not have to fly to TX any time soon. We are a little worried about flying from Portugal to DC. Only 2 hours to get through customs and TSA to get our flight home. Hopefully having Global Entry and TSA pre check will help. We have contingency flights just in case.

This has been "a thing" for several years. They'll camp out for Black Friday, concerts, new game drops, new iPhones, new sneakers, etc.
