Pappas BBQ, Closed For a Year!

The Pappas BBQ in Humble announced that it has closed this month, and will be closed, for remodeling, until Summer 2026. Hmmmm...I am wondering if they are bleeding money, paying employees, utilities, taxes, etc, and they just want to close. I mean, in a year, they could Level the whole building, and start again, and be Done, in 9 -10 months ? This is a good way to 'stall', so they can decide to return or not? There never seems to be anywhere there, when I go by. What say you? When was the last time you ate there?

Fire Craft is my preference but I will get Pappas bbq a few times per year. The drivethru window is awesome on bad weather days.

I haven't been in many years. I think it's because we have some really good choices here in KW, like Fire Craft, and close to KW, so I don't ever think of Pappas.

LittleTexas : We have not been there in years. It is always good. We just don't think about it when deciding on where to go.

It may have still been called Luthers BBQ back then though.

ZMAN : I remember Luther's. IMHO, it was better than Pappas.

I don't know but that building needs remodeling. I haven't been in a long time because the location is not convenient. I have been at events catered by them and they were really good.

Only ate there once--we loved Luther's (oh how I miss that onion ring loaf!), but thought Pappas BBQ was nothing special.

That location is not convenient to get to at all.

It would be best to relocate to a new spot. Maybe the old TGIF by BEL Furniture?

I was there last month at the drive through last week. Still pretty good!
