Report it to the HOA and they have to send a letter. Don't assume the HOA is doing the drive by's and sending letters....

Don't know if anyone even checks the mail boxThe city of Houston has a sign posted for a few months about a violation about the front yard & its still not cleaned up.

Bigmaico : When I lived in Atascocita, there were vacant houses close by and used to mow their lawns just to keep snakes and such out of my yard.

You will have to be a squeaky wheel--I would start contacting the HOA every other day. Stress that it's now a safety hazard because I suspect the dogs are barking at snakes, who can certainly enter your yard. I was on the board in my village, and we finally enforced a "forced mow" for a house that had been abandoned. When the house finally sold that expense was deducted from the house price and repaid to the HOA.

It amazes me people do this, smh. But as others have said, HOA has to pressure the homeowner to fulfill his responsibility! What a mess.

Contact the HOA. They may well be working on the issue as their remedies are an involved legal process. City of Houston Health Dept. may be able to help.
