if you anticipate evacuating start early. With 50k vehicles on hwy 59 you may not get far…. flat tires, over heated engine, out of gas, sick passenger, etc

Thank you for all the information you share with us here on KDC, it is all very helpful. For some reason, I thought the construction included an overpass that would go over the train tracks, but it's nice that the lanes will be wider.

I still remember the last time there was a evacuation 59 was backed up for miles. I would rather take my chances at home. That's why we bought a stand by generator.
