One person shot inside Humble Walmart store, says HCSO

SteveT : I'm all for second chances after someone has paid their debt to society, but this is not a very comforting nugget of info. I have been transparent of hating all things Walmart, especially the large super centers. If I really need something from WM I'll do curbside at one of the smaller, neighborhood locations. Otherwise, I'm purchasing online and having it shipped.

I wonder if she had the gun with her inside the store. Surely they don't allow that...I hope.

Both of these cases are Known suspects; ie not random crimes/assaults or robberies. They had personal 'issues' in these cases, and it all played out at the stores, as this is where they found the ones they were in dispute with. We Do need to be vigilant, and stay off your cell phone in All parking lots, keep your purse close, or just carry a small crossbody bag or only what you need to shop (credit card) and your keys.

Doddlebug50 : Well, carrying a firearm doesn't doesn't offer complete safety/protection... but it certainly improves your odds!

donnatella : For sure on second chances! Used to hire them when in Chicago, position depended on the felony and circumstance. Walmart+ is a wonderful thing!!

I guess it's a good thing the other person didn't have a weapon. A shoot out in the Walmart Corral would have been much worse than 1 injury.

And already a lawsuit against Walmart for not keeping shoppers safe.Oy vey. Be ready for metal detectors at the doors now!
