Na, we had nut jobs back then too. At least in the 70's and 80's. Kids who would cut you. Had one kid in high school carried a Machette under his coat. You avoided them and went on. Yes, the whole school shootings and all the copy cats that have come since, made it a lot worse, and scarrier, but those kind of people have always been around.

NeenaC0629 : Sometimes the bests parents are dealt a tough hand and suffer more than anyone else from a difficult child, who many times has legitimate mental health struggles. When these things happen I always think about their parents. I wonder if their heart is breaking, yet again.

When i was in school, there were often fist fights and sometimes a knife was pulled. Everyone would rush to see it, except me, i was the one, fighting like a salmon against the current, trying to get as far away as possible because I knew things might get out of hand and someone in the crowd might get hurt or a gun could be pulled. I avoid the sight of blood when its possible. Kids back then were just dumb. Because things have gotten so much worse, now most know better and try to get away from the problem.

Daughter has been trying to text me saying get on the forum and figure out what is going on. Wow with cell phones there is instant communication which I think is a good thing.
