The only thing we do know for certain is that she needs daily meals provided. Let's all make it possible for her to remain in dangerous living conditions. I'm truly bewildered by the gullibleness on here.

This is the absolute truth.It sounds harsh, but the reason why you shouldn't feed the wildlife is the EXACT same reason why you shouldn't give money directly to the homeless.It sets up a fake eco system, encourages more numbers, builds dependency and robs the individual of their agency.People's altruistic causes are nobody else's business and giving is something many people's God commands them to do, and so there are healthy ways to help.
Such as supporting shelters.For many, they ignore the shelters entirely because they don't want to comply with the rules of sobriety and curfew hours.

Kaylagirl : A free plastic knife at the HEB sushi counter, and as donnatella aptly suggested jar of peanut butter &loaf of bread will feed her for days…….and needs no prep but a hot cheeseburger sure sounds better no?

But she has other options. People are willing to bring her hot and delicious (although unhealthy) food. I wonder how many in the same situation would not accept handouts when it is sometimes easy to get them. I do agree with many saying she needs a longer-term solution though. I cannot imagine anyone being happy living the life she does. I could be wrong of course, but I know I would not be happy in her situation. Maybe she will get the help she needs and we will one day read that she is in a much better place and has a great life.

Of course it sounds better. And none of us would turn it down instead. I would want hot food in the cold, that is for sure.

She has said she has trouble at the shelters because of her mental illness. Tough spot to be in, for sure. Hopefully she got food and will be able to keep out the cold tonight.
