Get a propane burner so you can heat your food/water away from buildings and people. Buy soups and cheaper stuff. You can purchase 50 soups or something for that much. Can last you 2 weeks with crackers sausage

I have actually made do with limited resources a few times in life due to trying to make it on my own at an early age and sometimes being around the wrong males. So I get what you are saying. But I had a roof over my head and a place to cook. I never lived outside and if I had of, I could not imagine cooking on a city street lol. If she lives in the woods, yes I get what you are saying totally. It sounds like that is not her case though. I think it would look really odd her trying to prepare food on a city street.

teatime : You have a soft heart…..a fine quality to be sure. As I have stated too many times to count I help the homeless with sound advice (and giving to United Way). Panhandling and or reaching out daily to strangers on social media for meals is a lifestyle none of us would wish on our worst enemy, so why promote the lifestyle at all? I'm not saying don't give, please DO give but give responsibly. This soul will continue living in the wild, as you say, for as long as those who give allow. IF her only option was a shelter that's where she would land. There is a disconnect going on with her, I won't make it worse by buying her a burger. We would gladly drive her to a shelter who would take her in tho. And hopefully guide her in obtaining work and housing. My heart does go out to her but I wont contribute to making it possible in keeping her there because frankly at the moment she's choosing danger over safety. I wish her all the best.
