Read every detail of the contract first and give t them ample notice to respond first but as serious as it looks to be a health concern, I would recommend leaving it proof photos before/after maintenance is addressed. It also seems like it could be your air ducts are clogged but need to take they need to check all a/c registrars and thoroughly check blow out your ducts or something. Definitely request an air filter change. Run your dishwasher and clean bathroom and bathrooms clean to be proactive. Keep clothes dyer vent cleaned after ever load, etc. Hope my input is helpful in some way but a contractual agreement works both.?Well wishes they but I had a two year contract on my former lease in another community but they addressed the minor issues as requested.

It has never reoccurred.But if I was in an apartment, and the test came back positive for mold, I would use the test results to demand a no cost termination from my lease, temporary relocation to an unaffected apartment until able to secure a different property elsewhere, a complete return of my security deposit, and reimbursement for the cost of my test.

Usagitsukino87 : Is that pic from the Kingwood Lakes apartment? If so, they flooded in 2017 and I remember seeing pics like that circulating. It's a little hard to believe they're still having problems. I thought they resolved the issue.

Usagitsukino87: I think most older places have that. I don't think it's anything to worry about. There's mold everywhere in Houston. Tell the landlord tho.

I remember that too and they totally evacuated a rebuilt me infrastructure(walls-in) kind of curious what steps they were responsible for in the ceiling/ducts of inspection's they had to complete after left sitting there as long as they did before reopening. What's disclosed after inspection, etc. I know it was bad, we all were but over the amount of time that this damage occurred, surely the management company should have or could had to provide annual inspections prove it has passed inspections since then. Oh boy. I don't rent anymore but this situation would've stressed me.

eighteen : Yep. I thought so too after that lawsuit. I contacted the head office, corporate, and the lawyer/judge who presided over that case and let them know that they haven't fixed the issue yet. I also reached out to local representatives. This isn't my first black mold in Kingwood rodeo so I'm covering all the bases!

Yep and what is upsetting to me is that I was forced to move because of hurricane damage and mold before I got here and didn't have a lot of time to really check and get my kids a roof over their head and it's like running from one disaster to another. Kingwood is failing renters and it's leaving a bad taste as to whether or not I want to live here much longer and buy a house here.

I think it is something to worry about when I just spent over $200 taking my kids to the doctor for having mold illnesses. I'm from the Beaumont area originally and I've lived in southeast texas my whole life. I know mold when I see it and if you're allergic to mold, it can be deadly

It's in two rooms upstairs in a townhouse and the entire upstairs AC has been having issues they refuse to help with. I've been having these issues since I moved in last September.
