Texasdad: I have noticed that there's a lot of odd wild doctors up here compared to in town. I have found some good ones too but when you're dealing with two of the supposedly trusted hospital systems, I thought you would have a pretty good doctor. Good to know you don't think that is right either.

Mine are in the medical center and I will keep it just as is as long as I can. I tried to get an internist and rheumatologist in this area, and didn't care for them, their approach, their offices, or staff. I have definitely felt a vast difference in all around quality. For me, it's worth the drive.

Thankful that my PCP of 20 years in this area and I have never had a problem. Sorry for those who experienced one.

Wiseowl : Agree, and find out how much they charged the insurance company for all those not-done examinations.

We've met some subpar doctors in the Medical Center.

Years ago I went to a local orthopedic group for back pain/spasms and he never touched my back. I couldn't lift on leg to get dress properly which took a bit to do so. I figured he would do a exam but no.

I too found it odd. I had one good PA but he retired. Not only did he check my vitals, but he'd give me a neck and shoulder massage when I was having issues. All while asking about me, my stress, my home, my family, my dh's job. I asked him once why all the questions? He said because those things effect your health first and foremost. Stress at home, work, with family will silently kill you. You need to put them all into categories and manage them separately and on a whole. You can't control everything, but you can control how you react to it. He asked my dh the same questions, and he'd ask us together. My mother in law was shocked he spent an hour with me, and going over everything. He unretired and went to work for a very mean doctor. We went once and although my dh and I went in together, every 15 minutes the doctors wife (office manager) came in and interrupted us every 15 minutes. Then we got billed for four time slots because he was supposed to see someone every 15 minutes. We couldn't be done in 15 minutes. Horrible place. And it was dirty.
If I don't smell cleaner in a room, I say something about it. Every room should smell wiped down in my humble opinion.
The last guy kept talking about shoving a camera up my *** when I went in for extreme nasal issues. He actually asked if I'd seen a shrink or been diagnosed bi polar. I said **** you, your bi directional and wasted nearly 2 hours of my day. I slam the door as I walked out. A total **** show and I haven't seen a doctor since.
