Those new playgrounds are definitely better than I had when I was a kid!
Per Humble ISD , they are reinvesting in the community by adding immersive, imaginatively-themed playgrounds at all elementary schools, and outdoor obstacle and fitness courses at secondary schools. Outdoor equipment is open to the public on elementary and middle school campuses when school is not in session. All are built on handicap-accessible, poured-in-place rubber surfaces, with fall protection.As for Greentree they will have a "Wizard of Oz" theme!

The new Humble ISD elementary school playgrounds are great, and during off-hours, they're open to the public. We've been to several of them, and there are always families there on the weekends.

They are great except there is heavy emphasis on climbing ropes/webbing to get to do certain slides. Our grand has trouble with climbing those ropes. He does love the ziplines.

So, no more metal slides, chain swings, teeter-totters, metal monkey bars, and the merry-go-round of death.

I'm happy for the kids, the new playgrounds look like a lot of fun. A little jealous that they weren't this amazing when mine was little and attending elementary school, but he still had some fun at some of them.

This is great! The playground company has exceptional ideas!

The ones I've seen are amazing! A far cry from what I grew up with. I have to say, though, that REALLY high slide at Bear Branch looks scary to me! But I'm happy my grandbaby will have so many fun playgrounds to visit.
