Because it costs the school money to maintain fields for their students and if they're left open to the public, who knows what would happen.

Cl1974 : It's not part of Kpark.Northpark Recreation Area is a 19 acre park located on Woodland Hills Drive, north of North Park Drive and immediately north of the new Kingwood Park High School. This park is used exclusively for organized sports, with land leased to the Kingwood Alliance Soccer Club, Kingwood Adult Softball Association, and the
Kingwood Girls Softball Association.

They aren't apart of Kpark, always saw they were open to the public. But noticed this week they decided to change that.

I actually heard of them sometimes kicking people off the fields even though there weren't any events. But it was open to the Public so I guess I could see them finally deciding to stop giving mixed signals.

Tanjiuro135 : It was a good place to go for practice when they were not having a game. I wonder if vandales messed it up for everyone.

True, always was open. Makes me wonder that as well. If so it's a bummer but I get it gotta protect property. It was a nice place.

They're also paid for by tax money from people that live there, not sure why we shouldnt be able to access it as well as students for practice, walking, etc.

TEXASGIRLMAMMA : As they do for many things. Like the Town Center fountain- I guess they decided not to fix it after the last 'bubble incident' messed up the pump AGAIN.

CaffeineFree : That's a shame! I know the kids think it's just a fun thing to do but, their parents need to tell them why they should not put stuff in the fountains. It gets expensive! I thought they put up cameras. Do you know if they got that accomplished. If so, I hope they have pics of the little vandals.

TEXASGIRLMAMMA : I don't know if they installed cameras, but they need to. At one time, that fountain was very nice. It's a shame that even in a community like ours we can't have nice things without the little hoodlums ruining them.

br1 : Because the land is leased to several sports associations. It's not paid for by tax money, not a part of the high school.
