Northpark - car in ditch

My friends don't understand my phobia when it is raining in that stretch of road.Headed into KW.

Annie : That seems to happen often. They do need to cut the ditch...last time I was by. I hope they are ok.

Yesterday we were driving through some rain. Car started driving funny. Something told me to turn the steering wheel right, basically in the direction of this car that was next to me, but as soon as I did that I could feel my tires grip the pavement, and my whole car went left, barely missing the car that was just next to me on my left. I was able to regain control before hitting the median.So, when you see people driving 40 or less in the rain on the freeway, maybe be kinder. They could've just barely escaped death, or still be in shock.I'm still not sure what happened. I had already taken my foot off of the gas. It didn't feel like I was hydroplaning, but that the front end of my car was being lifted up.

eighteen : I would rather you/them go slow than end up in that ditch. I do not know how that happens!!! Speed has to be involved

I have thoughts on this……but cannot say on this side of fence. 💁‍♀️

Txbutterfly : I was going 60 in a 65 already. Could've hydroplaned. I know I'm getting new tires soon, because that was scary. When the rain first starts is always when the road is most dangerous to drive, because it's so slick.

Annie : It only takes one accident on NP to screw traffic up in both directions.

Your tyres were hydroplaning. I.E., they were riding on a layer of water, not on the pavement. when this happens, don't use your brakes....
