We have lived in Sand Creek for 41 years. Power outages are usually related to weather (infrequent). During a catastrophic event (hurricane), of course, we deal with the inconvenience.

If you don't have a standby generator, I'd highly recommend a whole house surge protector. This will help protect your major appliances when the power goes off, on, off, on, surges, etc.
