Are Pesticides worth using to KILL WEEDS?

Are Pesticides worth using to KILL WEEDS? Not since we learned the TRUTH...
We wouldn’t want to harm these family pets. Back in the day we were all taught the “Chemical way” and were very good at keeping customers happy by making the grass green and spraying chemicals to help eliminate weeds. Times are changing and we are learning that these once loved chemicals are dangerous and affecting us all over
the world especially right in our little community of Kingwood.

Pets walk, roll, and play around in grass then ingesting pesticides while cleaning themselves. Pets track these chemicals inside the home transferring them to your carpet, furniture and sometimes winding up inside our own bodies and our children. It’s unfortunate how so many people in our community are affected just to get that pretty lawn. Kingwood Fertilizing has the Knowledge that is key to a beautiful healthy yard for everyone in our community without the use of harmful chemicals .

Chemicals kill all the life in the soil, including the good guys in the yard, making for a very unhealthy soil that leaves the grass vulnerable to weeds, pests, and disease each year. Those that treat their weeds....Have you ever noticed how the yard seems to get more weeds than the previous year?

Kingwood Fertilizing would love the opportunity to come out and tell you more about how Organic Fertilizing can promote life in the soil for a beautiful green lush yard and help gain its resilience to reduce weeds, pests, and disease the natural way.

@TownHubAdmin : Just an FYI, sprays intended to help the yard or kill weeds are called herbicides. Pesticides are used to kill insects, rodents, etc.

@RaggedyAnn : Keep in mind that Roundup kills everything, grass included. It is used to clear the ground. There are other herbicides which will target weeds and not kill grass, but you pretty much need commercial stuff like they use on golf courses to do that well.

I've been reading about how to kill the weeds without killing the plants. It's something with vinegar, salt and dish soap. Spray it in the heat of the day and the weeds will dry up. I'll try it out and let you guys know. I have tons of little buggers in my garden but don't want to kill my plants in the process.

@TXhomegirl : You are right! I've been using vinegar with a little bit of "organic " dish soap in my flower beds and it works great. Just don't get any of the spray on the plants you want to keep.

@TXhomegirl : I've used that multiple times. In my experience, it does not kill the roots so the weeds just grow back in a few weeks.

@RaggedyAnn : Yeah. Spectricide didn't work on whatever I have going on either.

@cbear : Be careful with salt, as it builds up and can damage your soil to where nothing will grow there.
