Suspect was on parole and has been wanted since 2017 on parole violations. Of course, had he served all of his time for his previous convictions, he would still be in jail! 😠 I hope he gets the needle and it burns going in. What a worthless excuse for a human being the suspect is. Now, 3 children will live without a father, as well as a wife without her husband. Incidentally, it is my understanding that Officer Dhaliwal was good friends with Officer Goforth who died much the same way a few years ago. I feel for Dhaliwal's wife, kids, family, friends, and the entire police community. So senseless. 😢 4951

@ExBlue : I don't know if this is the case or not in this particular situation; but, let's not forget about Mandatory Release. Something I learned about not too long ago when I met someone who shared they had just been released after serving 25yrs for murder. My reaction: 💩 4951

Im so over giving 2nd chances. Time for accountability from crime 1.

@Stealth83 : Amen! Think about it. How many people see the same kids whose parents were lax on discipline, grow up to be disrespectful, entitled kids? We didn't have "time outs" when I was a kid. We got the belt from my dad or some hard spankings from my mom and you never thought about doing that stupid stuff again. I have seen parents tell their kids no, 5 plus times and then end up giving in. That never happened at our house. You understood the first time a parent said no.

Now, bring that thinking into sentences for criminals. Who do you think is going to pay more attention, they guy/girl that gets 10 years and finally sees daylight at 10 years and a day, or the one who gets 10 years and is out of jail in 2 to 3 years? I say, when the parole boards want to release criminals before their time is up, each member of the board take the suspect to live at their house for a week, with their family members and everything. I will bet they decide to keep them in prison. Same for the judges who want to give short sentences for agregious crimes. 4951

@eighteen : I cant speak for everyone, but I can say I would pay more tax dollars to build more prisons. In the long run, it would save us money, because thieves would be in jail so insurance premiums would go down for everyone and there would be less violent criminals running the streets. 4951

Praying for the officers family. He had talk to friends or relatives in California and had an 18 wheeler full of building supplies that were coming on an 18 wheeler for the flood victims. I don't know if it was this flood or the last flood. An all-around great guy. And these judges that are letting them out on no bonds and low bonds and the system that lets them out early that has to stop. It is just sickening. 4951
