TherealBocephus : It is up to the business to choose whether to have an armed or unarmed guard and what policies they have in place for dealing with a suspect should a crime happen.

Was there ever a time where security guards had guns? I thought they used to, but I honestly don't know. Whatever the answer is, they should and be free to shoot criminals in the act. That would definitely slow down this type of activity
NOLA : Ive hired multiple security companies for our job sites in the past and if any of the guards I've seen on our jobs carried guns it'd be a scary thing
What's sad is how easy they make it look.
