Beginning in January, Town Center Park in Kingwood will hold Friday in the Park twice a month. It will run from 4pm to 8pm and will include craft vendors, home bakers and entertainment. They are hoping to feature up and coming local artists who would like some exposure and they are also working on some other very exciting options. The website is open for registration .

More information about the January 13th and 27th dates will be released in the next two weeks and they will update the web page as they finalize the details. Find the web page at www.towncenterevents .com/Fridays.html

There are opportunities for sponsors and vendors for all the events and you can sign up on the web pages.

If you have any questions or need information email tony@towncenterevents.com

That's great! I've been wanting to try selling at the Thursday market but haven't gotten the chance. Plus, I don't know if that day and time would be fruitful for me. I could try the Friday nights market, though.

@Donnawisdom : I sell a very particular style of art on prints, coasters, magnets, keychains and vinyl stickers. My art is inspired by molas, a textile art form from the Guna Indians of Panama and Colombia. I'm Panamanian 😁. If you'd like to read about molas, here's a very interesting article: www.smithsonianmag.c om/travel/the-colorf ul-history-behind-pa namas-mola-1809

Here's an example of one of my latest designs.

I miss Shea Gregory Desserts...and Jelly Girl's pickles and other goodies.

From what I understand, Jelly Girl is no longer welcome at the market.

@garfieldgurl : that's cool, you ever do anything baseball inspired? I know former Astros Carlos Lee and George Springer have Panamanian roots. That Rivera dude was pretty good too.

@asasolid2r : Cool! I didn't know there were Panamanians who played with the Astros. I was a fan of Rivera but I don't follow baseball much since I moved to the U.S. I only do colors because I avoid doing anything that's copyrighted. Here's the astronaut with the Astros colors and another print with the colors as well.
