Humble Rodeo BBQ & Cook-off Starts January 28!

Forum Image

Come out to the Humble Rodeo & BBQ Cook-off, January 29 - February 6. Bring your family and experience all the fun with music, food and much more.

These two fun-filled weekends impact students’ lives by providing funds to support innovative education projects in classrooms across Humble ISD and in turn, preparing students for their successful future.

In February of each year, educators share their innovative ideas with us and thanks to our supporters, we can make those dream projects come true. Last year alone, the Foundation funded a total of $848,100 in grants across Humble ISD. So when you come out to these two weekend events, just know you are having a great time for a great cause - Humble ISD educators and students!

@cupid517 : I'm surprised to see that it's being held this year with so many other things canceled.

@goldie : It's not the same big event, they don't have the kids carnival etc. Its an important fundraiser for students, the kids need it. Many of them have paid $500-$1000 (animal, food, stall rentals) of their personal money to show their bunnies, chickens, sheep, pigs, etc. I have seen the kids taking their animals for walks on Woodland Hills. I have heard some of the prizes have been around $5000 or higher. If there is a parent on here that has kids taking care of a show animal, they probably have an idea what the prizes are...
