PSA from Kingwood Annual Festival:

From the Kingwood Annual Festival coordinators:

"Due to the recent developments relating to the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the United States and most importantly the potential effect on the Houston area, we at the Kingwood Annual Festival, in partnership with our amazing sponsors have decided to postpone the upcoming March 27th and 28th festivities to a later date.

The health and safety of our many vendors, sponsors, and most importantly our community are of utmost importance to us.

Our plan is to have the festival on the weekend of June 12th.

Friday June 12th - Concert in the Park
Saturday June 13th - The Kingwood Annual Festival 2020" 4951

Wow, am I the only one thinking this is way out of hand? More people die of the flu every year than this mess. I know I'm not taking it lightly, but still. 4951

I feel the Kingwood Annual Festival coordinators are going overboard. It will be hot on the weekend of June 12th. It's ridiculous! 4951

@Joe : Thank you for the information. It might be hotter that weekend but hopefully the virus will die down by then. Personally I'm avoiding large crowds right now so I most likely would not have gone in a few weeks. But by June if things have settled down I'll probably go. 4951

Also, if sponsors are getting nervous about the virus it would make holding a successful event much more difficult. 4951

Way too hot then. Better hold it at the water park. That should triple their attendance. 4951

@Joe : I totally agree. I think there would be a lot of people that would avoid it venturing out. Which would cause them to take a hit in sales. 4951
