The award was given during the Chamber's annual Peace Officer/Firefighter of the Year Awards Luncheon.
Since joining the Humble ISD Police Department in 2016, Senior Officer Moore has received a number of written accolades from school principals, staff, and students. She has also been commended for her work with Girl Scout troops in helping educate girls on investigative skills and policing.
Senior Officer Moore is known for thinking outside the box, which has prompted her to develop a new report writing format which was implemented throughout the Humble ISD Police Department as well as other school district police departments. She most recently completed an intense 11-week EMS course to obtain dual certification as a police officer and certified emergency medical technician.
"Humble ISD salutes Senior Officer Moore for going above and beyond the call of duty to keep our students safe. We congratulate her on her well-deserved award!" ~
