Black Bear Diner, one of the nation's fastest growing chain restaurants, opened their second Texas location (the other is in Katy) in Humble this week.

“We are grateful for the warm welcome we received in Texas since introducing Black Bear Diner and look forward to bringing our home-style hospitality and comfort food classics to even more guests,” said Black Bear Diner Co-Founder and CEO Bruce Dean. “The new diner also marks our steady progress against our strategic growth plan, which calls for additional corporate- and franchisee-held diners to be opened in the near future."

@KingwoodDotCom : Yummy those that food looks really good. Some down home country cooking. Great pictures of the girls as well. Can't wait to try this place out. My parents have been to other locations and said the food is pretty good.

Sort of looks like a cross between Blacked Eye Pea and Cracker Barrel.

My daughter and I went last Saturday night for their soft opening. Good country home cooking! It was hustle and bustle with the new team working feverishly to attend to the crowd, but really good! Pleasant family atmosphere!

@lisapisabobisa : I also don't like driving in that area, to much traffic and some very rude drivers and you have Red Light Cameras looking at you. I will try it out reminds me of Cracker Barrel.

I'll at least check it out for breakfast. Always looking for someplace new to get breakfast during the week. We wore out iHop and Cracker Barrel years ago and have even been going to The Toasted Yolk and the Egg and I way to much... a new spot will be a nice change

@Sniper12 : We were just talking about going there for lunch, since it's not too far from the office. CFS sounds really good today, so we're trying to decide Goodson's or Hickory Hollow. Both are about equal distance. I think the CFS is better at Hickory Hollow.

@Sniper12 : Goodson's Cafe is a bit of a drive... if you're going that far, the list of good places to eat grows tremendously.
