The McDonalds on Kingwood Dr. near Town Center has been demolished...And a new one is on the way.
Some of you driving in the back of Kingwood today may have seen a new pile of rubble on the south side of the 4400 block of Kingwood Dr. right where the McDonalds was located.
Like almost every business in that area, the McDonalds was ravaged by floodwaters after Hurricane Harvey dumped 4+ feet of rain on us in August of last year. It, however, was still sitting dormant after almost 11 months...Until today.
Some more good news...
According to sources from McDs, they will be rebuilding a new restaurant right in the same place. And they hope to have it up and running by the end of this year.
We're happy for the crew and owner of McDonalds. It'll be nice to see that area completely back to normal soon...And I'm sure the KHS kids will be excited as well.
I learned about this only this morning when a Forbes.com article from last fall was mentioned on something I was reading. "Why Millennials Follow Dr. Dean Ornish" was the article, well worth reading. It was written by Eve Turow Paul and published on Forbes.com on November 20, 2017.
