Kings Harbor restaurants update photos.

I took the kids out on the boat for some tubing today, and I decided to give Berry Bar some business and check on the other restaurants. I was able to dock on the east side of the pier without issue.

Here is what I saw.

Here is the space that was Puerto Tacos, on the end. I'm not sure what it is going to be, but workers were there today doing lots of work inside and on the patio.

This is the space that was the wine bar. Nothing appears to be happening to it.

Other than some things being stacked on shelves, it doesn't look like much is happening at Sharkeys. It's been gutted on the inside, but it doesn't appear that any new construction has happened. There were no workers present today.

This is the inside of Raffas. As you can see, sheet rock is going up and some cabinetry was being installed. There were workers present and getting things done.

The inside of Zimmittis was gutted pretty well, but it doesn't look like much of anything else was done. No workers present.

The outside beds have all been redone and the grounds look very good.

One of the debris barges was heading down river where they had several boats and lots of people clearing tree/stump debris.

The enclosed patio of Chimichurri had lots of worker activity. Below you'll see an inside shot.

There is a pretty good island on the West side of the dock.

The inside of Chimichurri had lots of work completed and is definitely on track to open first. Lots of workers present.

I thought about heading toward 59 to see progress closer to the Kingwood boat ramp, but I just didn't have much time, and I feel safer doing that on a jet ski. 4951

@PeterB123 : Thank you for an inside view. I wonder if Sharkeys is going to return. It's kind of sad. 4951

I'm kind of disappointed. I thought they would have been further along than that. I sure hope everyone opens back up. I miss eating waterside... hell I miss eating.. HA HA 4951

It's already hurricane season again. Until they dredge the river I wouldn't be in any hurry to build back either. 4951

When I drove by there a few days ago, I noticed quite a few workers at Zammittis. But I couldn't determine what they were doing - clearing or cleaning ...... 4951

@kerrys :

I hope they do as well. I also hope that when the actual dredging happens (it's my understanding that right now it's just debris removal) King's Harbor will get its pier area dredged. 4951

@PeterB123 : I understand that the Army Corp is only going to dredge to pre-Harvey levels. Won't help much there or really anywhere. 4951

@PeterB123: Thanks for the updates and the pics. Raffa's has been working since the beginning. Any delay is most likely out of their control. 4951

@donnatella : Raffas only started a few weeks back. Chimichurris has been rebuilding for several months now.
Last time I walked by Puerto was the staging area for Chimichurri's equipment. Might still be but maybe that BBQ place we heard about going in, really is. 4951

@sellbuy :

I wonder if the people you saw were preparing build-out quotes.

I spoke to a friend and showed him the picture, and he said Zamittis looks the same as when he looked at it a few months ago.

Zammittis was my kids favorite place to eat there, and I always liked it, so I hope Eddie does rebuild.

As far as my favorite restaurant in terms of food, it was Chimmichurris, so I'm glad they are making major progress. 4951
