There's a difference between having an opinion and being able to articulate one. You introduced the subject, declared someone successful, and then repeatedly evaded the most basic follow up question about your own assertion. When pressed you substituted a vague platitude for an explanation and congratulated yourself on a checkmate.

A conversation isn't a chess match, and asking someone to explain their reasoning isn't ignorance. It's an invitation to demonstrate that there's actually something behind their opinion. You seem far more invested in appearing intellectually above the conversation than in contributing anything meaningful to it. Which is your prerogative, of course. But don't confuse refusing to engage with having the upper hand. You weren't asked to define success for the entire human race. You were asked what YOU see as successful about the person YOU brought up. The fact that you still can't seem to distinguish between those two questions is the most substantive thing you've contributed to this discussion.
I was all set to give her some time to get used to the job. (though it is irritating how much she fawns over trump).
But you cant claim a profession you dont have the qualifications for. Same for accountants: I can no longer call myself a CPA because when I retired I let my license lapse.

Ah you're right. I could have gone that route--and added "retired".
But I had had it with all the stress of reporting.
I never pursued that.

****** I worked hard for it though.
Agreed. Not your garden variety resume embellishment. I bold and brazen lie. They'd be smart to cut bait.
